Hello! my name is Nicole Loynaz, im a certified psychologist with more than 8 years of experience in my personal practice. Integrative therapy combines techniques from different therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. It draws from methods like cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and others, aiming to address the person as a whole—mind, body, and emotions—rather than focusing on one specific theory or method. This flexibility allows for a more personalized and holistic healing process.

About Me
I am, first and foremost, a proud mom to my three-year-old and the wife of a colleague I deeply respect and admire. My professional life is dedicated to mental health. I run a private clinic where I provide in-person and online therapy to a wide range of clients, and I collaborate with various treatment centers across Costa Rica, working with individuals and families in inpatient and outpatient care for substance abuse.
My passion for mental health stems from my own journey. As a teenager and young adult, I faced the challenges of a dual diagnosis of borderline personality disorder and substance abuse. Today, I am a living testament to the transformative power of interdisciplinary treatment, which has helped me achieve long-term stability and emotional fulfillment. This experience fuels my commitment to helping others find hope and healing in their own lives.
Whether you’re navigating personal challenges, rebuilding relationships, or seeking growth, I am here to support you with a compassionate and integrative approach to therapy. Together, we can work toward meaningful and lasting change.
Take the time to explore your therapist’s background, areas of expertise, and therapeutic style to ensure their approach matches your needs and expectations. Knowing their methods can help you feel more confident and comfortable during your first session.
Reach Out
Taking the first step can be the hardest part, but reaching out is an important act of courage. By making that initial contact, you’re already taking control of your mental health journey. It’s normal to feel uncertain or hesitant, but remember, this is the moment that opens the door to change. Don’t let fear hold you back from seeking the support you deserve—each step forward is progress toward emotional stability and a more wholesome life experience.
Give It a Try
Think of the first session as a «test drive» with your therapist. It’s a chance to get a feel for how you connect and whether their style resonates with you. Sometimes, it takes a bit of time and conversation to determine if you feel comfortable, so don’t worry if the first meeting doesn’t feel perfect. The most important thing is that you feel heard and understood.
Each day is a new opportunity to rewrite your story.
